The World’s Shortest To-Do List
It all begins with an idea.
If you live with ADHD, you probably know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by a to-do list. You start the day with good intentions, maybe even a list of everything you want to accomplish. But instead of helping, the list makes things worse. It feels chaotic. Your brain jumps from task to task, unsure where to begin.
It can feel like being on a stage that’s too crowded—every task trying to grab your attention at once.
Here’s a fix: Pick one thing.
That’s your list. Seriously. Just one.
Imagine your chosen task taking the stage, the spotlight turning on, and everything else retiring to the audience to watch quietly and attentively.
How to Do It:
Ask: If I only did one thing today, what would matter most?
Write it down.
Tell yourself that, for the time being, your chosen the only thing that matters to you. Everything else can wait — it will still be there when you’ve finished.
Do it.
Celebrate!
